Happy Monday Bonnet Heads! No wait, that's a shark. Gator Bonnet...Members? Hmm, we'll keep workshopping. Happy Monday! Unfortunately, I've been struck with a nasty cold this week but I am feeling well enough Today to make a quick blog post on our news. Despite being sick I did manage to finish up the Pride Flags that I had started last week. I love them all and I'm pleasantly surprised by how my soldering technique is improving. While I didn't love having to fight a runny nose in a full-face mask, it was good to do something in between sleep, cough drops and tissues. Finishing up the flags also gave me inspiration to start designing some new pieces! Hoping to get those started later this week and finish at least one by Sunday. As usual, pictures to come.
In other news, our branded stickers and table runner have come in! Two weeks ago, Elaina and I decided that we needed to up our brand recognition and ordered a table runner and a pack of stickers with the website's very own QR code. Earlier this week the table runner came in and Today I was excited to open up the much-anticipated QR stickers. The stickers are a little bit smaller than I had expected but the QR code still works and of course Elaina had to take the first one and christen her skateboard with it.
Despite only being two items, they do make a big visual impact when it comes to our display setup. At this point, everything we have helps and overall, I'm very happy with the progress that we are making. Both in terms of the pieces and our online presence. Our business motto since the beginning has been "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." and that's exactly what we've been doing. It would be way too overwhelming to do this all in a week or even a month, but I think we should be happy with our progress and it's only the steppingstone for what's to come. I will continue to post each week and feel free to give suggestions on what to name our lovely subscribers!
