Happy Monday! This week has been slow and steady, but we have some exciting news. We are officially registered to attend our first market! It will be on July 19th in the dead of Summer, but we are set to be at the Ocala Oddities Market in Downtown Ocala. The market takes place the third Friday of each month and in preparation for our debut we went to their June market to check it out. It was awesome to see all the vendors and seeing how their displays were setup gave us some great ideas for our booth. The biggest take-away from attending the June market was how incredibly hot it was. The market itself is in the evening (5pm-10pm) but the humidity and amount of people definitely made for a hot night. I'm still very excited to see how we do at the market and what we learn in the process.
Onto other news, this past week I focused on making use of our scrap glass and made a few more colorful D20 ornaments. I also finished making a manatee sun catcher that I had designed at the end of last week and Elaina finished up her Koi pond sun catcher!

I still have a flamingo and sea turtle design that is in the works, but they are a bit more detailed and probably won't be completed for another couple of weeks. Additionally, after attending the oddities market I was inspired to make some spooky designs to go along with the market theme. We will work on these throughout the month in preparation for the event. Everything else business wise is pretty boring, setting up display items, framing photography prints and getting accounting software. Like I said, slow and steady but still a productive week at Gator Bonnet Crafts.
